I have been bathed and shampooed since birth of course.   I have been wearing cosmetics since the age of 16.  My parents didn't allow it until then.  My mom even took me to a Mary Kay party.  My face turned orange.  That's when you had to mix water with their cosmetics to apply them.  Long time ago...Just over 6 years ago it was brought to my attention that the products I was personally using were potentially harmful and damaging to my health.  I switched. What a difference in my hair for the most part.  I always had nice skin, but my hair didn't always look so shiny.  It had body, but it was dry or oily at times with no shine.  Now it shines every day.  I never have a flaky dry scalp.  Although I have a gray hair or two, I don't feel the need to color it.  Hair color has way too many toxins to bother...I will be at the big 50 milestone at the end of this year and am so grateful that I only have a couple gray hairs at this point.

The main ingredients I most assuredly avoid are as follows

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Parabens
Pthalates
Talc
Alcohol
Mineral Oil
Propylene Glycol
Formaldehyde
Synthetic fragrances
Dea
Tea
Mea
BPA

I have an e book that you can download at http://www.harmfulingredients.info with information about common harmful ingredients.
